The idea is simple: choose a creative project, do it every day for 100 days, and share your process online.
Every year, thousands of people all around the world commit to 100 days of creating. Anyone can participate (yes, that means you!).
Much needed studio clean up and organization. Created new website. Started a new image and played around with new formats. #100 used this image as a cover for their news letter. Most of all, this website is up and running! Needs a little tweaking.
Research blogs and SEOs.
Edits to website.
Drawing the new work with image above.
More writing.
Kind of a fallow week. Finished studio clean up and organization. Covid anxiety. Knitting like a mad woman to just get through and be productive. But ok.
Playing around with formats. I’ll draw and paint the whole image, but plan on several others from the same image. One of my website editors suggested a project page. Nice article with interview in Made in Isolation news.
New Trumpet Series. Working in Procreate on my iPad because my second Covid vaccine knocked me out. No worries...just means it’s working.
Lots of new digital work. Four new series, many or more good pieces from them. Some dark and disturbing, a couple more cheerful. Added to Digital Images. On a roll....
Taking a week off. Time to visit these young artists for the first time in over a year. Thanks to the hard working science community for Covid vaccine!
Creating photomontages digitally using Procreate. It makes cutting and pasting feel like the stone ages. Now to collect more digital source material.
Spent a lot of time searching for new imagery to use. This photomontage is the result. Best of the week, but may still need work. I have a large collection of paper sources, accumulated over years. I’m amazed at how long it takes me to find digital sources.
Starting to get the hang of this process after a steep learning curve. Working consistently for several weeks now. Collecting images, composing, posting. I’ll have to add a new webpage for the new process after I have created enough to warrant it.
On a roll. Ideas coming so fast that I am working on more than one piece at a time. There seems to be a narrative working its way into each piece. Plenty of room for interpretation. This community and Made in Isolation have meant so much. I feel connected and the support has been a great help.
Did a few this week that have more of a narrative. After asking the group to respond about what they were seeing, I was very surprised at the variety of stories that they shared. Really fun to hear. Creating narrative images was one of my goals. Here it is at the near end of #The100DayProject.
Been trying to develop narratives in several images. Part of my #100 days project. Thought I’d have a little fun with this one. If you thought of Alice, you’d be right, but in a Janis Joplin version. Just a little more than a week to go.
The #100 days are over. I managed to complete all my goals and have a whole new body of work. Was it worthwhile?...absolutely. Should I have a dry spell, I won’t hesitate to do this again.
